Mastiffs do face some possible health concerns that owners should be aware of. Most of it is attributed to its extreme size and weight. This can add strain on their joints.
The skin folds around their face can also lead to skin problems. Frequent observation and cleaning should take care of most of the problems.
As with other large breed, deep chested animals, there is a possible problem with hip or elbow dyspepsia.
